Welcome to BioPharm 2020

BioPharm 2020 is a major UK and India Science Bridge, established to create long-term collaborations in health care, biotechnology and pharmaceutical research, innovation and entrepreneurial activities.

The University of Nottingham's School of Pharmacy and Nottingham University Business School, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore have joined forces to exploit the synergies between scientists and industries in India and the UK to create a step-change in collaborative innovation.

The Science Bridge brings together industrialists, academics and students to undertake research in drug discovery, biological and cellular medicines, formulation and the supply chain, with the goals of delivering:

• clinical and commercial benefits from patent protected research, made possible by the synergistic research expertise across the Science Bridge
• world class human resources, with hands on experience of innovation and interfacing with Industry
• an assessment of the supply chain and outsourcing potential for long term business engagement and policy formulation between the two countries
• long-term collaborations exploiting the unique capabilities of each country
