BioPharm 2020: UK-India Biotechnology Business Challenge is a business plan competition which aims to promote entrepreneurship in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Sciences within the UK and India.

The competition is designed to encourage scientists with promising scientific advances underpinning a new business idea to progress their concept towards commercialisation.

Entrants will have access to tools to assist them in developing their business plan submission, including on-line Master Classes from a range of experts.

Entries will be shortlisted and the successful finalist teams will be given support from expert business advisors and mentors who can help them in the development of a full business plan.

Finalist teams will be invited to showcase their business idea at the inaugural UKPharmSci conference, and pitch their business idea, in confidence, to a panel of judges. The final will be held on Friday 3rd September 2010, East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham UK.

The winning teams from the UK and India will be provided with a package of benefits to support them in setting up their own business, with a prize worth over £40,000 for the winning UK team and over Rs 15 lakhs for the winning Indian team.

The competition is open to scientists from academia, research institutes and industry who reside either in the UK or India.

Once logged in, click on “My Plan” and complete the information requested about your team, before uploading your business plan executive summary document.
